African-American Museum to kickoff 2020 Census State of Black San Joaquin Valley on MLK Day

San Joaquin Valley Health Fund event co-host urges community to be a part of the 2020 census


FRESNO, CA -- As the nation prepares for the celebration of Civil Rights Leader, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in honor of his birthday, the African-American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley (AAHCMSJV) brings the Fresno County residents a free music jubilee and public town hall to address the State of Black San Joaquin Valley -Black Health & The History of the Census.


The Sierra Health Foundation's San Joaquin Valley Fund is the co-host of the event, providing key census information related to African-Americans who were considered a major part of the hard-to-count population underrepresented 10 years ago.


This free event is after the downtown Fresno, CA MLK march, starting from 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM and will take place at the African-American Museum located on 1857 Fulton ST., Fresno, CA.


Popular vendor Serious Seafood will be providing refreshments for purchase.
