Shooter charged for the homicide at Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club

FRESNO,CA--The Fresno County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Antoine Demetrius Caradine (33, of Fresno) for the murder of 31-year-old Darnell Earl Johnson Jr. of Sacramento.


It is alleged that on October 1, 2022, there was a gathering at the Soul Brothers Motorcycle Clubhouse near 99 and McKinley. While at that gathering, Caradine shot Johnson multiple times, causing his death. Caradine fled the Fresno area and was later arrested in Roseville, California.


The Felony Complaint filed in the Superior Court alleges that Antoine Demetrius Caradine committed:

  • One (1) Count of MURDER [Penal Code §187(a)]

  • One (1) Enhancement of PERSONAL AND INTENTIONAL USE OF A FIREARM CAUSING DEATH [Penal Code §12022.53(d)]


If convicted of all charges and allegations, Caradine faces a sentence of 50 years to life in prison.


Defendant Antoine Caradine was arrested on October 9, 2022, in Roseville, CA, and thereafter transported to Fresno County and booked into the Fresno County Jail. Caradine’s arraignment is scheduled for October 17, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. in Department 32 of the Fresno County Superior Court.
