Author Shawn Rochester did an in-depth study to explain the dynamics of America's explicit and implicit racism, legally and illegally against Black Americans for hundreds of years, which has affected the outcome of wealth in Black families and communities throughout the United States. His book came out last year to uncover the effects of this travesty: The Black Tax: The Cost of Being Black In America.
